బొరివంక జిల్లా పరిషత్తు ఉన్నత పాఠశాలలో నిర్వహించిన ముఖాముఖి కార్యక్రమంలో వైద్య నిపుణులు పలువురు రోగులతో మాట్లాడుతూ విభిన్న అంశాలను తెలుసుకున్నారు. ఇచ్ఛాపురం, కంచిలి, కవిటి మండలాలకు చెందిన 150 మంది వరకు రోగులు సమావేశస్థలం వద్దకు చేరుకొన్నారు. హార్వర్డు విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ప్రొఫెసర్లు జోషఫ్‌, వెంకట్‌సబ్బిశెట్టి మాట్లాడుతూ పలు అంశాలపై ప్రశ్నించి వివరాలు తెలుసుకున్నారు. పెద్దశ్రీరాంపురం గ్రామానికి చెందిన పులక జేజమ్మతో మాట్లాడుతూ ఆకలి, నొప్పి, మందుల వినియోగం, ఆర్ధిక పరిస్థితులు, శారీరక ఇబ్బందులు, కుటుంబసభ్యుల్లో ఇంకెవరికైనా వ్యాధి సోకిన అంశాల గురించి ప్రశ్నించారు. సోంపేట సామాజిక ఆసుపత్రికి చెందిన డాక్టర్‌ ప్రధాన శివాజీ తయారుచేసిన ప్రత్యేక నివేదికను ప్రొఫెసర్‌ జోషఫ్‌కు అందజేసిన తర్వాత బొరివంక గ్రామంలో కొన్ని వీధుల్లో పర్యటించి అక్కడ పరిస్థితులను అంచనా వేశారు.

1.30 లక్షల మంది కిడ్నీవ్యాధి బారిన...
డాక్టర్‌ హరిప్రసాద్‌ గారు మాట్లాడుతూ ఉద్దానం ఏడు మండలాలలో 4.5 లక్షల మంది నివసిస్తుండగా అందులో 1.30 లక్షల మంది కిడ్నీ వ్యాధి బారిన పడినట్లు తమ అధ్యయనంలో గుర్తించామని తెలిపారు. ఇంతటి తీవ్రత ఉన్నందునే పవన్‌కళ్యాణ్‌ హార్వర్డ్‌విశ్వవిద్యాలయ నిపుణులతో మాట్లాడి ప్రత్యేక చర్యలకు ఉపక్రమించారని వివరించారు. పరిశోధన కేంద్రం ఏర్పాటుకు అవసరమైన వసతులు, ఇతర అంశాలు పరిశీలించేందుకు హార్వర్డు ప్రొఫెసర్లు వచ్చారని, ప్రాథమిక దశలో కొందరి రోగులతో మాట్లాడడం ద్వారా భవిష్యత్తు కార్యాచరణకు చర్యలు తీసుకోబోతున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.. నిమ్స్‌ విశ్రాంత వైద్యనిపుణుడు ప్రొఫెసర్‌ దక్షిణమూర్తి మాట్లాడుతూ కిడ్నీ వ్యాధికి గురైనవారికి వైద్య సేవలు అందించడమే కాకుండా మూలాలు తెలుసుకోవడమే ప్రధానంగా కార్యాచరణను చేపట్టాల్సి ఉందన్నారు. డాక్టర్‌ వై.కృష్ణమూర్తి మాట్లాడుతూ కిడ్నీ వ్యాధిగ్రస్థులకు ప్రాథమికస్థాయిలో సాయం అందించేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని సూచించారు. కొత్తగా వ్యాధిబారిన పడకుండా చర్యలు తీసుకోవడంతో పాటు వ్యాధి సోకినవెంటనే వైద్య సదుపాయాలు పూర్తిస్థాయిలో అందజేసేందుకు తక్షణ చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలన్నారు.

Jerusalem:  Hours after India and Israel elevated their ties to a "strategic partnership", Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced a direct Delhi-Mumbai-Tel Aviv flight and simplified rules for getting Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards, drawing loud cheers from the 5000-strong crowd of Indians at the Tel Aviv Convention Centre. It was for the first time in 70 years, he said, that an Indian Prime Minister got the opportunity to visit Israel. "This is a matter of joy," PM Modi said.

NTR Bio-pic Directed by RG Varma....!

The biopic on the late Chief Minister and legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao is in the news again.

While actor Balakrishna had announced that he would be playing his father in the latter’s

biopic, it is now being reported that RG Varma may direct this film.

Apparently, the two developed a good rapport when Balakrishna met Amitabh Bachchan on the

sets of Hindi film Sarkar 3. From then on, it is learnt that the duo has been exchanging notes,

on various things including the biopic.

RG Varma wants to make a full story on the late NTR that includes him being overthrown from

the position of CM, and his eventual marriage. But the makers and Balakrishna want to end the

film at the point where he became the CM for the first time, as his life is full of controversies.

US issues new visa

 Visa applicants from six Muslim-majority countries must have a close US family relationship or formal ties to a US entity to be admitted to the United States under guidance distributed by the US State Department on Wednesday.

The guidance gave several examples of what might constitute a bona fide relationship with a U.S. entity, and said broad categories would be exempt from the travel ban, such as those eligible for student visas, "as their bona fide relationship to a person or entity is inherent in the visa classification."

The six nations whose citizens are covered by the executive order are Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.

According to the new guidelines sent to US embassies and consulates on Wednesday, applicants from the six countries must prove a relationship with a parent, spouse, child, adult son or daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or sibling in the USA.

Grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, fiancees or other extended family members are not considered to be close relationships.

The new measures are expected to be implemented today.
